Scarlet Badis

Scarlet Badis are tiny, brilliantly colored nano fish known for their intense red and blue striping and shy, peaceful temperament. Males display the brightest coloration, while females are more muted. These micropredators do best in heavily planted, peaceful community or species-only tanks.

• Temperament: Peaceful but territorial toward males of the same species

• Recommended Group Size: 1 male with 2–3 females, or singly

• Minimum Tank Size: 5 gallons (species-only); 10+ gallons if in community

• Max Size: 0.75–1 inch

• Diet: Frozen or live foods such as baby brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms; may ignore dry food (offer Hikari First Bites or crushed Bug Bites as alternatives)
