Brichardi Cichlid Reg

Brichardi Cichlids are elegant and peaceful African cichlids from Lake Tanganyika, easily recognized by their long flowing tail and fin extensions. Known as “Princess of Burundi,” they are one of the few cichlid species that display cooperative breeding behaviors, with offspring helping care for younger fry. They thrive in rocky setups with plenty of caves and territory structure.

• Hardness: 10–20 dGH

• Temperament: Peaceful to moderately territorial, especially when breeding

• Recommended Group Size: In pairs or small colonies

• Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons (larger for colonies)

• Max Size: 4 inches

• Diet: Fluval Bug Bites Cichlid Formula, Hikari Cichlid Excel, supplemented with frozen brine shrimp, mysis, or krill
