Dwarf Pea Puffers are tiny, intelligent freshwater puffers known for their big personalities and sharp eyesight. Despite their size, they can be territorial and are best kept solo or in species-only tanks with lots of plants and hiding spots.

  • pH: 7.0–8.0 (Adapted to Tallahassee tap water)

  • Hardness: 5–15 dGH

  • Temperament: Territorial; best solo or in carefully planned groups

  • Recommended Group Size: Alone or 3+ in heavily planted setups (5+ gallons per puffer)

  • Minimum Tank Size: 5 gallons per puffer

  • Max Size: 1 inch

  • Diet: Frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, snails (for beak maintenance), and occasional Fluval Bug Bites Micro Granules
