Black ruby barb
Black Ruby Barbs are colorful and lively schooling fish named for the deep ruby red coloration mature males develop, especially during breeding. Their contrast of red and black striping makes them stand out in planted community aquariums. They are peaceful but active, and do best in groups to reduce fin-nipping behavior.
